Hunter Accidentally Shot In Wareham
A hunter was accidentally shot by another hunter in the woods off Charlotte Furnace Road in Wareham, according to Environmental Police.
WAREHAM, MA —A hunter shot another hunter's shoulder Wednesday afternoon in the woods off Charlotte Furnace Road, according to Massachusetts Environmental Police. According to police, the shooting was accidental as the hunter shot his gun to kill an animal.
Both hunters were wearing orange, which is required by state law.
The victim was taken to Tobey Hospital in Wareham and was treated for non life-threatening injuries. Wareham and Environmental police are still investigating how exactly the shooting happened.
