Hyannis Chick-Fil-A Approved
Cape Cod's first Chick-Fil-A has been approved. The drive-thru location is being built in Hyannis.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Fast-food giant Chick-Fil-A is planning to open its first Cape Cod location in Hyannis.
Company officials earlier this year filed paperwork to open a drive-thru restaurant on Iyannough Road near the Cape Cod Mall.
The Cape Cod Commission recently approved the project, according to the Cape Cod Times.

Chick-Fil-A currently operates five Massachusetts locations in Peabody, Burlington, Chicopee, Framingham, and Westborough. The Georgia-based company runs over 1,900 locations in 42 states and Washington, D.C. Its sales last year were nearly $6 billion.
In 2012, late Boston Mayor Tom Menino wrote a letter to Chick-Fil-A President Dan Cathy, saying the chain was not welcome in Boston after Cathy made comments against same-sex marriage.
