Hyannis Native's Book To Get Big-Screen Treatment
It is the author's third book to get adapted into a movie.

HYANNIS, MA – An author from Hyannis will see his work come to life on the big screen for the third time. Casey Sherman's book "Animal: The Bloody Rise and Fall of the Mob’s Most Feared Assassin" has been bought by Fox 2000 under the pitch "Thatcher Island," according to the Boston Globe.
The book details Joseph "The Animal" Barboza's life from brutal Boston mob enforcer to eventual informant.
Sherman also co-wrote "The Finest Hours," which was adapted into a film in 2016, and "Boston Strong," which became the Mark Wahlberg film "Patriots Day."
