Hyannis Nauti Gang Member Dealt Drugs In Prison
Browning Mejia, serving a 10-year prison sentence for a 2009 shooting, was arrested again and convicted of dealing suboxone in prison.

BOSTON, MA — An associate of the Cape Cod Nauti-Block gang on Thursday was sentenced to another 10 months in prison for dealing drugs while incarcerated. Browning Mejia, 26, of Hyannis, is currently serving a 10-year sentence for a 2009 shooting. In 2016, he was arrested as part of the takedown of the Nauti-Block gang, which flooded Cape Cod with heroin and other drugs. Mejia admitted to dealing suboxone at MCI-Norfolk prison at the behest of Nauti-Block leader Denzel Chisholm, according to Acting U.S. Attorney William Weinreb.
Chisoln was recently sentenced to 28 years in prison. (Sign up for free daily newsletters and breaking news alerts from Massachusetts Patch sites.)
"These gang leaders obtained heroin from New Bedford, and other areas, and distributed the heroin to numerous drug dealers on Cape Cod," Weibreb said in a statement. "In exchange for heroin, Chisholm obtained suboxone from his customers and then supplied that suboxone to Mejia, who distributed it at MCI-Norfolk prison, where he was an inmate."
