Hyannis Prostitute, John Caught In The Act Near Beach: Police

Cape Cod police said they caught a Hyannis prostitute and a john engaging in a sex act near the beach in Yarmouth.

YARMOUTH, MA — A 25-year-old prostitute from Hyannis was caught in the act near a Yarmouth beach Friday, according to police. The woman, whose name was not release, was charged with providing sexual conduct for a fee and cocaine possession. Her alleged customer, David Harrington, 57, of Yarmouth, was charged with the same crimes.

Yarmouth police said the incident happened Friday around 5 p.m. on Grove Street West near the beach. An officer on patrol approached a gray Chrysler minivan parked at the end of the street and saw Harrington and the Hyannis woman inside engaging in a sex act with bags of drugs on the center console, police said. The suspects admitted to smoking crack cocaine and engaging in prostitution, police said.

The Grove Street area has been the subject of "numerous" citizen complaints about drug activity and "other suspicious activities at all hours of the day and night," police said. "The area is littered with used condoms, needles, and empty corner cut baggies of illegal narcotics."
