Cape Cod is getting its first Whole Foods.
The Hyannis store is opening Wednesday at the Southwind Plaza on Route 132 in a former Borders bookstore.
Whole Foods said it planned to hire 175 workers for the store.
The Cape Cod Times reported the 28,000-square-foot store will feature a waffle bar and walk-up ordering window outside.
A grand opening ceremony will be held at 9:45 a.m. It will feature raffle prizes and live music. Whole Foods said 5 percent of net sales that day will be distributed to local nonprofits.
The Hyannis store has a Facebook page and Twitter account.
