Hyannis Woman Stabs Man In The Forehead: Police

Darlene Nickerson was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, according to a Barnstable police report.

HYANNIS, MA — A Hyannis woman was arrested Tuesday after police said she stabbed a man at her Sea Street apartment.

Darlene Nickerson was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, according to a Barnstable police report.

Police were called to Nickerson's apartment shortly after 10:30 p.m., when a man reported he was stabbed in the forehead. The man was taken to Cape Cod Hospital and was treated for his injuries.

When officers arrived, police said they found a large pool of blood in the entrance to the apartment. There was also blood on the counter and the sink, as well as a knife in the sink.

According to police Nickerson admitted to officers she stabbed the man. Nickerson had allowed the man to stay overnight, but she then woke up angry and stabbed him after an argument, police said.

Nickerson was arraigned Wednesday in Barnstable District Court and posted $100 bail.
