Intoxicated Cape Cod Man With Weapons Arrested: Police
Mark Simpson, 30, of Harwich, was arrested in Yarmouth on a host of crimes.
YARMOUTH, MA — A Harwich man was arrested Saturday in Yarmouth after police said they found him operating a vehicle intoxicated guns, knives, and guns in his possession.
Mark Simpson, 30, was parked in Peter Homer Park and acting suspiciously when a witness called authorities, police said. An officer encountered Simpson and said he appeared intoxicated and refused to obey the officer's commands. Additional officers were sent to the scene and Simpson was taken into custody.
Police said officers found a .22 caliber handgun, a shotgun, ammunition, knives, marijuana, and suboxone in his possession. Simpson was charged with:

- Resisting arrest
- Failure to produce a license
- Unlawful possession of a firearm
- Unlawful possession of ammunition
Simpson was held on $1,500 bail pending an arraignment.
