K-9 Unit Makes Cocaine Bust on Cape Cod; 2 Arrested

Tinisha Lopes, of Hyannis, and Chrystal Packett, of Onset, were arrested this week.

Two women—one from Hyannis and another from Onset—were arrested Monday in Yarmouth after police said they found them with crack cocaine and thousands in cash.

Tinisha Lopes, 31, of Hyannis, was driving a 2015 Dodge Charger on Winslow Grey Road in Yarmouth Monday at about 7 p.m. when she was pulled over for a driving violation. A K-9 unit arrived and officers found crack cocaine and $3,373 in cash in the vehicle, police said.

The passenger, Chrystal Packett, 36, of Onset, was charged with dealing cocaine (second offense). Lopes was charged with a lane violation, driving with a revoked license, and giving a false name to police.

The pair were held at the Yarmouth police station pending an arraignment.
