Because of the weather forecast for Friday, MassDOT is electing to consolidate this work to this window in order to complete paving on the main line of Route 6 in the eastbound direction. Paving is weather and temperature sensitive: dry air and temperatures consistently above freezing are required in order for pavement to properly cure.

Drivers should allow for extra time when traveling through the work zone. Drivers are also encouraged to reduce speeds through the work zone.

Additional paving is still required on various ramps that will be done at a later date and as temperatures permit.
