Long Project to Start Today, Impact Barnstable Traffic

Improvements to a water system on Route 149 will start today, Oct. 26.

The Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Water Department will be improving the water system near the intersection of Route 28 to Lovell's Lane in Marston Mills, the town said.

Motorists are being asked to avoid the area between the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, as only one lane will be open.

The project is continued to last into December.
