Man Tried Luring Boy Into Van On Cape Cod: Police
Police are looking to identify a man they say tried to kidnap a child at Dollar General.

YARMOUTH, MA — Police are searching for a man they say tried to lure a child into his van in Yarmouth. On Saturday, May 18, at 4 p.m., police responded to a home in West Yarmouth after a boy reported that he was nearly kidnapped at a nearby Dollar General.
The residents of the home told officers the boy showed up at their front door out of breath. Police said the boy bought something from the Dollar General and was approached by an older man while leaving.
The man told the boy he had candy in his van and tried to guide him through its open door, according to police.

Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the man from security footage. He is described as 40-50 years old with a shaved head and close beard that was dark with silver or white spots. He was wearing a white shirt and green shorts and had a tan minivan, police said.
