Man Wanted In Connection With Massive Cape Cod Brush Fire
The brush blaze consumed nearly two acres on Sunday, officials said Thursday evening.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Police are looking for a man who may have information about a massive brush fire that drew responders from numerous Cape communities on Sunday.
The blaze consumed nearly two acres of woodland along the border of Mashpee and the Barnstable village of Cotuit, between MA Route 28 and Strafford Ponds Road, according to a statement late Thursday.
The fire’s report around 11:30 a.m. Sunday called out crews from both towns, as well as Hyannis, Sandwich, West Barnstable, the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire District and the state Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Barnstable police said they want to question a man seen on video in the area of the fire shortly before the call.
