Presentation: Monuments to OUR local Heroes and Heroines

Barnstable’s fallen heroes and heroines will be remembered in a lecture on Wednesday, August 20, at 7 p.m.

at the Olde Colonial Courthouse (Tales of Cape Cod) in Barnstable Village. The presentation will include very personal stories of those who gave their all in time of war.

You pass these markers every day, BUT you don't know their story, yet!

Len Gobeil and Hyannis Deputy Fire Chief Dean Melanson will recall the acts of heroism which are commemorated by 43 monuments throughout the town.

A $10 donation to the Barnstable Historical Society would be appreciated. Light refreshments will be served following the
lecture.
