New TV Series To Film On Cape Cod

The upcoming Starz series is expected to start shooting after Memorial Day weekend.

PROVINCETOWN, MA — An upcoming television series on pay-cable channel Starz has been cleared to shoot on Cape Cod, according to the Cape Cod Times. "Hightown" is about a Marine Fisheries Services officer who gets wrapped up in a murder investigation after she finds a body that washes ashore.

The series stars Monica Raymund ("Chicago Fire") and James Badge Dale ("13 Hours," "The Pacific"). It will start filming in Provincetown May 31 and is expected to be the most extensive shoot in the community since "Tough Guys Don't Dance" in the 1980s, the Times reported.

Filming will take place between May 31 and June 10 on Commercial Street, at MacMillan and Provincetown Marina piers and the rotary near the Provincetown Inn.
