No Lifeguards At All But 1 Barnstable Beach After Monday

Only Craigville Beach will have lifeguards on duty after Monday in Barnstable. Here's what to know.

BARNSTABLE, MA — The summer season is winding down, which means lifeguards will no longer be staffed at most beaches in Barnstable through Labor Day.

After Monday, only one beach in Barnstable — Craigville Beach — will have lifeguards on duty. That beach is expected to have lifeguards at the beach through Labor Day, officials said.

Loop, Veteran's, Kalmus and Dowses Beach currently have no lifeguards on duty, and Covell's Beach won't have them as of Monday.

Beaches will continue to have gate attendants throughout the remainder of the season, officials said.
