On Friday, June 8, 15 Nutter employees will ditch their desks to round the bases for the 11th annual Playworks Corporate Kickball Tournament. Nutter will be among nearly 300 professionals, representing 28 companies across Metro Boston, who will participate in the charitable employee engagement event and collectively raise money to support Playworks New England programs.
Playworks New England, which is part of a national organization, brings play and youth development programming into schools during recess as a means to improve the health and well-being of children and to enhance learning through the power of play. Nutter, a full-service law firm with offices in Boston and Hyannis, has been a valued partner of the Playworks Corporate Kickball Tournament for four years. “Nutter is proud to support Playworks and its important mission of bringing safe and inclusive play to Boston schools,” says Nick Stabile, an associate at Nutter, chair of Playworks New England’s Leadership Council, and co-captain of Nutter’s Playworks Corporate Kickball team. “This is the fourth year that Nutter is participating in the tournament and we’re excited to lace up and compete for this important cause!” Stabile’s co-captain, Kaitlin Hoffmaster, a Legal Recruitment Administrator at Nutter, adds, “Not only is the Playworks Corporate Kickball Tournament a great way for Nutter employees to come together as colleagues, but it also gives us an opportunity to contribute to the Boston community.”During the charitable employee engagement event, participating teams of 8 to 15 players, wearing multi-colored Playworks Kickball t-shirts, will compete in multiple round-robin games against other companies. Lunch and beverages for all players is provided. From the sidelines, spectators can take part in a raffle, lawn games, and cheer on other teams.
