One Dead Following Early-Morning Crash On Cape
The tractor trailer rollover occurred around 2:15 pm, according to Massachusetts State Police.
HARWICH, MA -- A truck driver was killed when his tractor trailer rolled over on Route 6 in Harwich early Saturday morning. Massachusetts State Police were called to the single-vehicle crash on the westbound side of the highway around 2:15 am. No other vehicles were involved and there were no other passengers in the truck.
Police identified the driver as David Marceline, 46, of Harwich, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A preliminary investigation suggests Marceline swerved onto the eastbound side of the highway then lost control of the vehicle as he tried to correct course.
The highway was closed for five hours in both directions as police conducted their investigation.
