Oxycodone, Gun Seized at Shuttered Cape Cod Motel

Yarmouth police said they arrested two Mashpee residents in a drug bust.

YARMOUTH, MA — Yarmouth police said they seized hundreds of Oxycodone pills and a gun during a drug bust at a shuttered motel on Route 28 this week.

Arrested were Christopher Kennedy, 29, and Ethel Cobb, 62, both of Mashpee.

Police said on Wednesday at about 1 p.m., officers saw the pair in a black Dodge Charger parked in a secluded parking lot at the motel. Officers said they saw white pills everywhere.

They said they found 420 Oxycodone pills that had been prescribed by a local physician and picked up earlier in the day in Hyannis. When they searched Kennedy, officers found a Walther PPK in his waistband.

Police said Cobb had three warrants for her arrest.

Kennedy was charged with drug possession, being a felon in possession of a weapon, and conspiracy. Cobb was charged with drug possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy.
