Pedestrian Killed on Cape Cod's Route 6

A pedestrian was killed in a crash on Route 6 in Eastham Saturday night.

Police said the 42-year-old man was struck by at about 11:30 p.m. First responders performed CPR on the man and he was transported to Cape Cod Hospital; police said he died before reaching the hospital.

The man’s name was not immediately released. It was unclear why he was on that part of the highway, as it’s typically closed to pedestrians.

Eastham police and State Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
