What is permaculture? In a nutshell, permaculture is a design process that aims to optimize the health of an ecosystem, while also providing for human needs. By employing permaculture techniques, we mimic natural systems, letting nature do the work. Thus, our inputs are minimized and our yields are increased. This presentation will cover basic techniques for edible landscaping, edible forest gardening, polycultures and plant guilds, perennial vegetables, organic no-till gardening and much more. Come and learn how you can convert your yard into an eco-edible-paradise, which provides food, medicine, fuel, fodder, fiber, fertilizer, wildlife and pollinator habitat and, of course, fun for all ages! This talk is free, but registration is requested.
