Planet Fitness Opening At Cape Cod Mall

HYANNIS, MA — The Cape Cod Mall is getting a place for customers to get in a workout. A Planet Fitness gym will open at the mall right next to Regal Cinemas. Representatives from the gym plan to have it open around year's end.

The new Planet Fitness in Hyannis will offer a 20,000 square-foot fitness center with 80 pieces of cardio equipment, 20 widescreen televisions with wireless connects to the cardio machines, free WiFi, private stretching and ab areas, massage chairs, private training sessions and more.

Gym representatives said they pride themselves on creating a judgement free and have rules against people grunting, dropping weights or judging others in anyway.

"Whether you’re new to a gym or you’re an existing gym member looking to try a new facility, we encourage you to come check out the Hyannis club to meet our staff and see what the 'Judgement Free Zone' is all about — a workout environment where everyone feels accepted and respected," Planet Fitness franchise owner Brian Kablik said in a statement.

Anyone who wants to a membership for the Hyannis gym can join through a pre-sale at the Planet Fitness website. Fitness enthusiaists can also sign up at the pre-sale office inside the mall next to Banana Republic. Sign-up hours are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday to Sunday. New members can join with no commitment for $1 down and $10 a month.
