Possible Ordnance Shell Found At Cape Cod Beach
A person found the item while walking on the beach Sunday afternoon.

DENNIS, MA – An item believed to be an unexploded ordnance shell was found on a beach in Dennis Sunday afternoon, police said. A person found the item while walking on Chapin Beach around 2:50 p.m.
The bomb squad made the decision to explode the item in place, according to Dennis police. The scene was cleared Sunday evening.
