Powerball: Hyannis Woman Wins $1M

Barnstable, MA — A Hyannis woman is $1 million richer (before taxes) after scoring a winning Powerball ticket.

Judith Hanson purchased the ticket at AM/PM Convenience on Beares Way. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus.

Hanson told lottery officials she plans to use the money to pay off her mortgage and car; she said she will invest the rest.

Tonight's Powerball jackpot is at $311 million; the drawing is at 10:59 p.m.
