Road Closure As Barnstable Sewer Expansion Continues
A section of West Main Street will be closed during sewer expansion work next week in Barnstable. What to know.

HYANNIS, MA — Starting Monday, January 29, the Town of Barnstable’s Contractor, Robert B. Our, will commence site preparation and remaining sewer installation on West Main Street, from Route 28 to Strawberry Hill Road, requiring this section of road to be closed during work hours. Work will occur Monday through Friday, from approximately 7:30AM to 5:00PM, weather permitting.
Local resident and emergency access will be maintained throughout construction, with traffic control onsite to assist motorists. Businesses on West Main Street will remain accessible via Route 28, as shown in Figure 1 below.
