Roadwork Will Close Lane Of Traffic In Barnstable: Here's Where, When

Recent construction projects have created a need for roadway striping in Barnstable. It's scheduled for Thursday night.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Traffic in Barnstable will be altered on Thursday night, including a single lane closure as roadwork is completed.

On Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Markings Inc. will be performing temporary roadway line striping on Craigville Beach Road from Lake Elizabeth Drive to Strawberry Hill Road, and on Strawberry Hill Road from Craigville Beach Road to Route 28.

The work includes restoration of roadway paint markings impacted from construction activities associated with the Strawberry Hill Road Sewer Expansion and Vineyard Wind Duct Bank Projects, officials said.

A single lane closure will be required.

"As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through the work zones, and follow posted safety and detour signs," officials said.
