Route 6 Delays Start Monday, Expected To Last 2 Weeks

Work on the median will shut down part of the road during the week.

BARNSTABLE, MA – Work on the median of Route 6 between Exits 4 and 6 began Monday, according to the Barnstable Police Department. It is expected to take approximately 15 days.

During this period, the road will be reduced to one lane of travel while crews do vegetation, tree trimming and tree removal work between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Work will not be done on weekends.

Drivers should expect delays and use caution.
