Stop Signs To Be Installed At Cotuit Intersection

BARNSTABLE, MA — The Town of Barnstable Department of Public Works is scheduled to install stop signs at the intersection of School Street and Piney Road and Highland Avenue in Cotuit.

The work is anticipated to be performed within a week from March 9 "subject to favorable weather," Barnstable officials said.

This work will create an all-way stop at the intersection of School Street and Piney Road and Highland Avenue. In addition, advance warning signs and pavement markings will be installed.

These modifications are intended to improve traffic safety at the intersection, officials said.

Temporary lane closures on School Street are expected to safely complete the work.

"As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through road construction areas, and follow posted safety and detour signs," Barnstable officials said.
