Store Worker Arrested For Brandishing Handgun: Report

The employee of an auto parts seller in Hyannis faces a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon.

HYANNIS, MA — Police on Tuesday arrested a man in the store where he worked after he was accused of brandishing a handgun at another man there.

Jason Bassett, 50, of Harwich, now faces a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon, the Hyannis News reported.

The incident occurred at Advance Auto Parts, 306 Falmouth Road (Route 28), at around 4 p.m. Barnstable police responded to a caller saying a store employee had threatened him with a gun, and were told the worker was still in the building.
