Stranded Dolphin Rescued On Cape Cod Beach

The juvenile saddleback was found early Monday morning.

PROVINCETOWN, MA – Police rescued a dolphin stranded on a Cape Cod beach early Monday morning. Officers found the juvenile short-beaked saddleback just after 6 a.m. about 400 feet west of the Atlantic Street beach landing in Provincetown.

"IFAW responded and recovered the dolphin for treatment and care," Provincetown police said in a Facebook statement. "Our thanks to Police Officer Shannon Beloin and Animal Control Officer Ruthanne Cowing along with 2 community volunteers who responded to the rescue."
