Strawberry Hill Sewer Expansion Work Continues In Barnstable
The town released updates on what's upcoming as the sewer expansion carries on. Here's what to know.
BARNSTABLE, MA — More work is being done as the Strawberry Hill sewer expansion project carries on, and the town released updates on what's going on for the next few weeks.
Starting Monday, the water main bypass piping installation will begin on Phinney’s Lane from Longview Drive to Statice Lane. The traffic flow pattern will consist of single-lane alternating traffic, officials said.
Additionally, the sewer main installation on Phinney’s Lane will alter traffic patterns from Wequaquet Lane to Center Lane. Road closure and detour will be in place, with resident and business access only.

This work will continue through Friday, and work will pause over the weekend. However, work will pick back up next Monday, Sept. 19, and continue through Friday, Sept. 23.
All closed roadways will remain accessible to residents and businesses throughout construction.

"As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through the road construction areas, and follow posted safety and detour signs," officials said.
