The 14-year-old boy punched the officer in the mouth and "repeatedly" struck him in the chest, police said.
YARMOUTH, MA — A teenager on Cape Cod was arrested after "repeatedly" striking a police officer, according to Yarmouth police. Officers went to the RFK Juvenile Center at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday after a resident destroyed property and broke into an office, police said.
One officer arrived to find two staff members in the road trying to get a 14-year-old boy to calm down and return to the center. The boy was uncooperative and punched the officer in the mouth, police said.
The officer and boy struggled and went to the ground, where the boy hit the officer "several times" in the chest and kicked him. The boy was subdued with a Taser.
