Thousands In Barnstable Vote By Mail For State Primary
Over 5,400 mail-in ballots have already been cast in the state primary in Barnstable as of Friday morning.
BARNSTABLE, MA — Over 5,400 mail-in ballots have already been cast in the state primary in Barnstable as of Friday morning, according to Town Clerk Ann Quirk.
All voters were eligible to vote by mail in the 2020 state primary, and in-person early voting lasted seven days, ending Friday.
With mail-in ballots counted, Barnstable voter turnout is already 68 percent of the 2018 turnout, and that's with same-day voting having not started yet.

Quirk said the town received a "huge amount" of mail-in votes on Monday. She said Barnstable sent out more than 9,200 mail-in ballots.
