Toys For Tots In Full Swing In Barnstable: Dates To Know
Besides dropping off new, unwrapped toys at several drop-off locations, people who want to support the campaign can also donate online.
BARNSTABLE, MA — While you’re checking off holiday gifts for family members, don’t forget the kids who aren’t on anyone’s shopping list and pick up some items for the Toys for Tots campaign in Barnstable.
Sponsored by the Marine Corps Reserves, Toys for Tots is organized locally on Cape Cod by Toys for Tots Coordinator Timothy Harrington.
Last year on Cape Cod, 58,236 toys were distributed to 28,301 children who might not otherwise have gotten any Christmas gifts. Nationally, about 625 million toys were handed out to 291 million kids.

- Barnstable Physical Therapy, 3179 Main St., Barnstable, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Cape Cod Furniture, 413 Yarmouth Rd., Hyannis, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday
- Central Turf and Irrigation Supply, 48 Warehouse Rd., Hyannis, Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Comfort Inn, 259 Main St., Hyannis, open 24 hours
- Hyannis Honda, 860 West Main St., Hyannis, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Ira Toyota of Hyannis, 1020 Iyannough Rd., Hyannis, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Massage Envy, 1070 Iyannough Rd., Hyannis, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is an IRS-recognized nonprofit public charity created in 1991. The foundation, created in 1991, uses 97 percent of every donation to buy toys for children in need.
