TripAdvisor Ranks Cape Cod Beach Among America's Best

CAPE COD, MA – Travel site TripAdvisor is out with its 2019 list of the best beaches in America, and there's two in New Englanders' backyard. The Needham-based company ranked Race Point Beach in Provincetown No. 24 and Ogunquit Beach in Maine No. 18.

Race Point Beach has a 4.5 rating on TripAdvisor, with reviews highlighting its natural beauty, space, cleanliness and amenities such as a concession stand and changing rooms.

"Race Point is a natural, gorgeous, un-littered, noncommercial beach," one review reads. "It is stunning."

Ogunquit Beach has a 4.5 rating as well. TripAdvisor uses travel reviews from the previous year to compile its annual list.

Florida's Clearwater Beach was the top-ranked beach for the second year in a row. The Sunshine State had the most beaches on the list this year, followed by Hawaii.
