Trombone Shorty And Mavis Staples To Play Cape Cod's Melody Tent

The esteemed jazz artist will play the Melody Tent alongside legendary singer Mavis Staples this June. Tickets are on sale now.

HYANNIS, MA — Trombone Shorty is set to bring a piece of the bayou to Cape Cod this summer as part of his 2023 American tour.

Born Troy Andrews, Trombone Shorty is an acclaimed horn player known for his unique New Orleans jazz stylings and as a touted member of bands supporting the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Jeff Beck and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

For some attendees of this summer's concert, however, Andrews may be as highly anticipated as his supporting act, legendary singer Mavis Staples.

Trombone Shorty and Staples will play the Cape Cod Melody Tent on June 8, and tickets are on sale as of Friday.
