Vineyard Wind Continues Barnstable Construction Projects: What To Know
Vineyard Wind duct bank installation, water service and structure adjustment projects continue at two construction sites.
BARNSTABLE, MA — Running through Friday, Dec. 16, Vineyard Wind will be conducting construction activities including duct bank installation, water services and structure adjustments at two construction sites.
Activity will occur between 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting. Here's what's being worked on:
Water Services

West Main Street will be closed to thru traffic from Falmouth Road (Route 28) to Pine Street to facilitate necessary water work in the intersection of West Main Street and Strawberry Hill Road, as shown in Figure 1, below. All closed roadways will remain accessible to residents and businesses on West Main Street will remain accessible via posted detours.
Duct Bank Installation

Strawberry Hill Road from Falmouth Road (Route 28) to Pine Street will be closed to thru traffic as Vineyard Wind continues duct bank installation, as shown in Figure 1 below. All closed roadways will remain accessible to residents and businesses throughout construction. The intersections of Strawberry Hill Road and Pine Street as well as Strawberry Hill Road and Old Craigville Road will remain open for travel.
Structure Adjustments
Craigville Beach Road will have sections of one lane alternating traffic between Strawberry Hill Road and Covell’s Beach while Vineyard Wind completes adjustment of utility castings.
Police details are scheduled to assist in directing traffic at each location.
