Vineyard Wind Project Route Paving Underway In Barnstable
Delays are expected along a few local roads as final paving gets underway, Barnstable officials announced.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Starting Monday, March 25, 2024, Vineyard Wind’s contractor Lawrence Lynch, will resume final paving. This work will include paving of the following roads Wequaquet Lane; Strawberry Hill Road, from Route 28 to Pine Street; the intersection of Route 28 and Strawberry Hill Road; and the intersection of West Main Street and Strawberry Hill Road, as shown in Figure 1, below.
Work will occur in various stages including milling of the roadways, structure adjustments, leveling, and paving. Dependent upon the nature of the work, traffic within the vicinity of the paving operations will be modified, including necessary road closures and detours. Work is anticipated to take three weeks to complete, dependent on weather. Motorists should expect delays. As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through road construction areas and follow posted safety, detour signs, and onsite traffic control.
