Warnings About 'Spice' Drug Being Sold at Barnstable, Hyannis Convenience Stores
Police and civic leaders said the synthetic drug is being marketed to children.

Police and local leaders issued warnings about ”spice,” a type of synthetic marijuana being sold at convenience stores in Barnstable and Hyannis.
Spice contains shredded plant material and chemical additives that carry psychoactive effects. It’s sold under names like K2, Yucatan Fire, Skunk, and Moon Rocks, among others.
The Greater Hyannis Civic Association called the drug a “scourge” to the community. It hosted a meeting Wednesday night to discuss the drug’s availability locally.
