Great White Shark Steals Fish From Hook On Cape Cod [VIDEO]
Obviously it's never heard there's more fish in the sea.
ORLEANS, MA – A chartered fishing boat off Cape Cod reeled in a haul so tasty a great white shark just couldn't let it go. Video shot by Orleans-based Triton Sportfishing on Thursday caught the shark after it chomped a striped bass right off the line, presumably sticking around a bit to gloat before fleeing.
Triton Sporfishing owner Capt. Steve Peters told the Boston Globe the shark jumped out of the water and bit the bass as it was being brought aboard. It then swam around the boat for about 25 seconds before leaving.
According to the Great White Shark Conservancy's Sharktivity Map, there have been 16 shark sightings off Cape Cod in the past week.
