Wellfleet Toddler Flown To Hospital After Dog Bite

WELLFLEET, MA — A 2-year-old from Wellfleet was flown by Med Flight to the hospital Sunday afternoon after being bitten by a pit bull dog mix, police said Monday.

The bite occurred on East Hill Road around 2:15 p.m., after which the toddler was taken to Cape Cod Gateway Airport in Barnstable and flown to a Boston hospital, according to the Wellfleet Police Department.

"The child's injuries are not considered life threatening, and all parties are known," police added.

The incident is under investigation.
