What's Open, Closed In Barnstable On New Year's Day

BARNSTABLE, MA – Barnstable town offices will be closed all day Tuesday for New Year's Day. Trash will be picked up on Monday. For the remainder of the week, there will be a one-day delay (Tuesday on Wednesday, Wednesday on Thursday, Thursday on Friday and Friday on Saturday).

  • Post Office: Closed
  • Restaurants: Open at owner's discretion
  • Retail stores: Open at owner's discretion
  • Supermarkets: Open at owner's discretion
  • Liquor stores: Open

  • Gas stations: Open
  • Movie theaters: Open

The MBTA will be running an altered schedule on New Year's Eve and on a Sunday schedule on New Year's Day.
