Believe it or not, summer's just about half-finished, and while many still plan on vacations and days in the sun, some will likely get ahead of the fall rush and plan in advance for the start of a new school year.
So, when will students head back to the classroom in Barnstable?
The first day of school for the 2013-2014 year will be on Tuesday, Sept. 3 for K-12 students, and Wednesday, Sept. 4 for pre-school students, according to the Barnstable Public School calendar.
