Woman Seriously Injured In Cape Hit-And-Run Crash
Police said they found the woman injured outside the Howard Johnson Motel in Yarmouth.
YARMOUTH, MA — A woman suffered serious injuries Tuesday in what Yarmouth police say was likely a hit-and-run crash.
Police said they received a call around 9:35 p.m., about an injured woman outside the Howard Johnson Motel at 226 Route 28. Emergency officials rushed to the motel, gave the woman first aid and took her to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
Based on evidence at the scene, police said the victim was struck by a vehicle, while she was walking on Route 28. Police said the driver left the area before officers arrived.

Police said they are withholding the woman's identity, pending notification of her family.
Anyone traveling near Route 28 around 9:30 p.m., with information is asked to call Yarmouth police at 508-775-0445, extension 2100.
