WORKSHOP ON SPIRITUAL PRACTICES FOR CAREGIVERS

South Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, is sponsoring a workshop on "Spiritual Practices for Caregivers," Saturday, April 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  Medical studies associate long-term caregiving for elderly parents and seriously ill spouses, partners, and children with increased stress and decrease in overall well-being.  Often caregivers neglect to care for their spiritual lives and personal needs while caring for loved ones.  This interactive workshop will explore practical ways caregivers can nurture their spiritual lives and well-being and creatively respond to stress and discover ways we can share our love with dependent family members while caring for ourselves, spiritually, emotionally, physically, and relationally.

The workshop will include themes such as:

1)  Caregivers' experiences
