Xfinity Store Opens At Cape Cod Mall
Comcast celebrated the opening by awarding a $20,000 grant to the Cape & Islands Outreach Center.

HYANNIS, MA — Comcast opened a new Xfinity store at the Cape Cod Mall in Hyannis.
The new 1,917-square-foot store is Comcast's fifth retail location on Cape Cod. It's accessible outside the mall at 793 Iyannough Road and will offer products and customer service for Xfinity Internet, Xfinity Mobile, Xfinity X1, Flex and Xfinity Home. Customers can also return or acquire equipment, purchase accessories for mobile devices and smart accessories for the home and pay bills at self-service kiosks.
"Our newest Xfinity Store in Hyannis is an important part of our ongoing effort to improve the customer experience," said Mike Iannetta, the vice president of sales for Comcast's Greater Boston region. "Our dedicated employees can demonstrate the unmatched video experiences on our X1 platform; how Xfinity xFi transforms the home Wi-Fi experience with the fastest internet speeds; and the advantages inherent in Xfinity Mobile. We’re excited to be in our new and improved location in Hyannis and look forward to serving our customers."

In addition to opening the store, Comcast also entered a new community partnership on the Cape. The company awarded the Cape & Islands Outreach Center a $20,000 grant to further its digital literacy training programs and enable its counseling staff to provide mental telehealth services.
Comcast also launched two WiFi-connected "Lift Zones" at Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center facilities to help veterans get online, participate in distance learning or remote work, or look for and apply for jobs. The Mashpee location is online and the Hyannis location will soon be operational as well, a Comcast spokesperson said.

"The veterans we serve on the Cape & Islands needed increased connectivity in order to complete digital literacy training programs and better engage with their community," said Joe Taylor, the outreach center's executive director. "Comcast equipping our centers as Lift Zones will give us the bandwidth and speed we need to provide veterans with an array of tools and online applications. Comcast’s support will also enhance our counseling program by enabling more in-person and mental telehealth services."
