The Fall 2026 semester is fast approaching at Middlesex Community College. At Middlesex, students can jumpstart their futures and take advantage of flexible on-campus, online, day and evening options starting Tuesday, September 8.

"At MCC, we are committed to removing barriers to opportunity," said Dr. Nicole Harris, MCC's Vice President of Enrollment Management & Student Success. "With flexible schedules, dedicated student support, and the Commonwealth's free community college programs available to many eligible students – including adult learners – there has never been a better time to invest in your future at Middlesex."

Students can choose to take classes as part of the traditional 15-week semester or over two accelerated eight-week Mini-mester sessions. At MCC, Mini-mesters provide the same content, academic standards, and number of instructional hours as courses scheduled during the traditional semester. Accelerated sessions allow students to finish credits faster, take classes over a shorter period of time, and balance their studies with other responsibilities.

The college's Office of Admissions is hosting campus tours in Bedford and Lowell throughout the summer. Prospective students and their families can also watch a virtual tour to learn more about the college offers, including academic programs, student support services, and resources for success.

During Swoop into MCC and Walk-in Wednesdays, new and current students can complete all their enrollment steps, submit their placement, and register for classes at times that best fit their schedules. Swoop Into MCC sessions will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and noon to 1:30 p.m. on Thursdays. No appointments are needed for Walk-in Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Students can also visit MCC's Bedford and Lowell campuses for financial aid assistance from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. MCC also partners with uAspire to help students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Massachusetts Application for State Financial Aid (MAFSA). The organization matches students with an advisor who will respond within 24 hours to answer questions or meet on Zoom.

Eligible MassEducate and MassReconnect students can also register for Fall classes. The programs allow all Massachusetts residents who have not yet earned a bachelor's degree to attend MCC for free with no tuition or fees for eligible students.

While MCC's Fall Mini-mester I begins the same day as the traditional semester, Mini-mester II starts Monday, November 2. Register for Fall 2026 classes or call 1-800-818-3434 for more information.
