2. Bedford Walking Group Marks Five-Year Anniversary (thebedfordcitizen.org) — A Bedford-based walking group that meets daily at Depot Park is celebrating five years of early-morning walks along the Minuteman Bikeway. Founder and Bedford resident Nina Oliveri keeps the group informal, free, and focused on social connection, even screening new members to ensure they're from Bedford, Mass. 3. UPDATE: Body of Missing Bedford Boater Found in Maine (thebedfordcitizen.org) — An 84-year-old Bedford resident, Chester Benjamin Wiggins, has been found dead off the coast of York, Maine, after going missing from his 17-foot Boston Whaler near Cape Neddick Harbor. Multiple agencies, including the Coast Guard and Maine Marine Patrol, searched by air and along the shoreline before his body was discovered and recovered Friday afternoon. Authorities will continue investigating the circumstances of the incident.
4. FDA approves Lantheus' Bravnetsa for GEP-NETs (dotmed.com) — A Bedford-based company, Lantheus, has just received FDA approval for Bravnetsa, a radioligand therapy for certain gastrointestinal and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, marking the first such drug cleared through the ANDA pathway. While the firm hasn't announced a launch date or pricing yet, it's preparing distribution plans and highlighting important safety warnings, which could matter to local residents working in biotech or facing these cancers.
