“I’m very much looking forward to performing at MCC and presenting a Romantic program that features Johannes Brahms, Robert Schumann, and the remarkable women composers Clara Schumann and the American composer Amy Beach,” Paniyeva said. “I’m thrilled to share all of these voices on stage, and performing Amy Beach’s music here, with her special New England connection, is especially meaningful to me.”

Paniyeva will perform a solo recital. Numbers include Seven Fantasies, Op. 116 by Johannes Brahms, Sketches by Amy Beach, Scherzo by Clara Schumann, and Sonata No. 2 in G minor by Robert Schumann.
