The Bedford High boys tennis team are the eighth seed in the MIAA Division 3 North tournament, but they sit just one win away from winning the sectional tournament. The Buccaneers will face off against the third seed Weston High at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 9 at Rahanis Park in Burlington. Bedford finished the year at 11-7, but has already knocked off the number one seed Manchester Essex, which had an undefeated regular season, the fourth seed Hamilton-Wenham High, which only lost three times in the regular season, and Lynnfield High in the tournament.  So far, Bedford High is 14-1 during the tournament. Bedford would need to beat another top team on Sunday. Weston finished the regular season 15-2. They swept past the number two seed Swampscott 5-0 in the semifinal. The winner of Sunday's matches will not have much time to savor the victory. The MIAA state tournament will kick off at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Newton North High School.
